Sail from Horseshoe Bay to Departure Bay with BC Ferries and then on to Qualicum Beach for some free time to explore this lovely town. Check in to The Beach Club Resort, the ultimate destination for oceanfront luxury on Vancouver Island, and your home for three nights. This resort is located in the charming town of Parksville, surrounded by breathtaking scenery and endless opportunities for adventure and relaxation. Tonight, join the group for a traditional Thanksgiving Dinner in the hotel’s restaurant.
Today we visit the North Island Recovery Centre, a non-profit, world-class rehabilitation facility situated on acres of immaculately manicured grounds, caring for animals with all types of needs, including birds with broken wings, orphaned black bears, electrocuted eagles, and much more! Next up is the Coombs Old Country Market, started as a roadside stand providing fresh produce to travellers heading to the west coast of Vancouver Island. Over the years it has evolved and grown into a landmark with gifts, groceries, great food, and goats… on the roof! This afternoon enjoy a tour of Little Qualicum Cheeseworks, a small family run cheesemaking facility located on a picturesque Vancouver Island farm. Tonight, dinner is at Kalvas Restaurant, immerse yourself in the authentic charm and coziness of Parksville’s elegant log house.
This morning, depart for Chemainus, a quaint artisan village nestled between the mountains and ocean directly on the Cowichan coast. Home to 50+ giant murals, trendy boutiques and galleries, a public market, and so much more. Next, we visit the famous Chemainus Theatre for a buffet lunch followed by a matinee performance.
Follow the scenic Malahat Highway south towards Victoria and Swartz Bay. Enjoy lunch enroute at the Fireside Grill. Depart on a BC Ferry back to the mainland.
