Celebrating a life

It is with heavy hearts that Ageless Adventure Tours announces the passing of Melinda Burns on April 9, 2025. For over 32 years Melinda worked with her best friend and husband George Burns as owners of Ageless Adventure Tours, creating unique and life changing travel experiences for their many loyal clientele. They loved their work which took them to many different continents including Iceland and Africa and enjoyed the many enriching conversations as well as friendships that ensued with their clients. Melinda has been the heart of the Ageless Adventures office and her presence is greatly missed by the staff who considered her a dear friend. Melinda will be remembered not only for her contributions to the travel industry but also for her dedication to her family and friends, her radiant smile, and her generous heart. Her absence leaves a profound void in the lives of those fortunate enough to have known her, but her loving spirit will continue to inspire us all. Ageless Adventure Tours will continue to thrive under the guidance of George Burns and the experienced Ageless Adventures team.

MEET THE STAFF

George Burns | Founder/Management

George's role is to ensure that everything runs smoothly. He is responsible for the overall operation of our business, from day to day decision making to long term planning to expressing his opinions on almost everything! George R. Burns was the vice president for MCA Records for many years prior to becoming one of the founders of Mandate Tours/Ageless Adventure Tours. He enjoyed an extremely successful 20 year career in the record business. Since 1988 George has been involved in tour development, advertising, and the company direction.

Caroline Brown | General Management

Caroline joined us in 2014 and has 15+ years as a sales agent for Transat Holidays. She is responsible for customer service, tour planning, accounting, and puts together information packages for tour guides and customers.

Deb Froehlick | Customer Service

Deb is responsible for customer service, administrative work, tour packages for customers, and tour planning.

Stefanie Wheller | Website Management

Stefanie is an experienced proof reader and helps to get the tour brochures ready for the printers. She also works on website management and customer service.

Rosalie Miller

I have been a Tour Director since 2006 and I LOVE what I do! I thrive to provide my guests with the utmost professional and personalized service AND have a lot of fun! I was born in the Netherlands and by age 8 immigrated to Canada with my parents and 6 siblings. Dutch is my 2nd language and I am always working on my French. I am happily married since 1977 and am a proud Oma to 6 beautiful grandchildren. As a Tour Director, I want to bring the best experience to each and every one of my guests by delivering informative, entertaining storytelling, commentary, and on-coach entertainment with humor and kindness.

Jackie Elie

My passion has always been travel. I had a rewarding career as a flight attendant with an international airline and the travelled the world for many years. My love of travel has always stayed with me to this day. My travels have taken to me to far away places, but my heart will always be in western Canada, with the most scenic and spectacular places to see and experience. I enjoy being a tour manager and helping people explore and enjoy new places and experiences. I look forward to meeting you on one of our upcoming tours.

Heather McMann

I got bitten by the travel bug when I returned from Europe after my high school graduation. Working for an airline introduced me to the world of Tourism and more opportunities for travel. After years employed in an office and raising two daughters, I found myself applying for a job as a Tour Director and 17 years later I still love my job!

Susan Andreeff

My touring life began in 2007. I have been fortunate to lead groups from around the world, showing them Canada from East to West. I also enjoy touring them on the Cruise Ships up to Alaska, and further into Denali National Park, which features the tallest mountain named Denali. Working with Ageless Adventure Tours for the past few years has given me an opportunity to get to know more of BC and area, and all it has to offer, as well as meeting so many wonderful people along the way.
