Begin your journey heading east through the Fraser Valley, then continue north into the sun-drenched landscapes of British Columbia’s Okanagan Valley. Begin the day with a scenic drive to the village of Nakusp, nestled at the mouth of Kuskanax Creek on Upper Arrow Lake. Here, you’ll tour the historic site dedicated to preserving the stories of more than 27,000 Japanese Canadians who were incarcerated during and after the Second World War. Continue onward to Nelson, a vibrant mountain town on the west arm of Kootenay Lake, where you’ll check in to the Prestige Lakeside Resort for a two night stay. Begin your journey home with a drive through the rural community of Cawston, just east of Keremeos and known for its orchards, farm-gate markets, and farm-to-table culture. Enjoy a wine tasting at Orofino Winery, followed by an included lunch amid the rolling vineyards of Crowsnest Vineyards. After a brief stop in Hope, continue through the Fraser Valley to the Lower Mainland and home.
