Trip Itinerary

Sail with BC Ferries from Tsawwassen to Salt Spring Island through the beautiful Southern Gulf Islands. Arrive in Long Harbour and enjoy some free time exploring the village of Ganges with its eclectic shops, restaurants, and galleries. Check in to your ocean view room in the Harbour House Hotel for a three night stay. Known for its relaxed and refined style the hotel is only steps from the village. Tonight join the group for dinner at the hotel.

Today is an opportunity to really get to know Salt Spring Island. Smaller vans will take the group on an in depth tour with a local guide. Visit Cetacea, a family run business known for creating innovative marine mammal skeleton exhibits, followed by lunch and a tasting at Salt Spring Wild Cidery. The afternoon visits will include CSM Gallery, a fine art sculptures studio and The Glass Foundry, a glassblowing studio. The evening is yours to relax and enjoy.

Meet up with your local guide to visit Xwaaqu’um Park for an Indigenous culture interpretation followed by a stop at Salt Spring Island Cheese Company for cheese sampling. Lunch is served at a local restaurant. Up next is an archaeology and history talk with Hawaiian interpreter Auntie Kate. Finally make a stop at Garry Oaks Estate Winery for wine tasting. Tonight enjoy dinner at a local waterfront restaurant.

We wind down our visit to Salt Spring Island with a leisurely morning before returning to the mainland.
