Trip Itinerary

Travel to Kamloops through the dramatic landscapes of the Fraser Canyon, stopping enroute to enjoy lunch at the historic Ashcroft Manor. Upon arrival, check in to the welcoming South Thompson Inn, a distinctive boutique property set amid rolling acres along the riverbank. Known for its relaxed atmosphere, scenic surroundings, and friendly hospitality, it offers a peaceful setting for the start of your getaway. This evening, gather with fellow travellers for a group dinner at the resort.

After breakfast, depart by coach for the Adams River, home to one of North America’s most significant sockeye salmon breeding grounds. Enjoy a guided interpretive walk along the park trails, where you’ll learn about the salmon’s remarkable life cycle and their journey home to spawn. Continue to Quaaout Lodge for a Shuswap-inspired lunch overlooking the tranquil waters of Little Shuswap Lake. This afternoon, visit the Turtle Valley Donkey Refuge, a compassionate sanctuary that has quickly become a favourite with our travellers, providing a lifelong home for donkeys rescued from neglect or abandonment. The evening is yours to relax and enjoy at your leisure.

Your journey home winds through the scenic landscapes of British Columbia’s Interior, offering one last chance to admire the wide open valleys and rolling hills. Pause in Merritt in the Nicola Valley for a lunch stop before continuing toward the Lower Mainland, carrying with you warm memories of the salmon run and the beauty of the region.
