Travel to Vancouver Island for this unique getaway of authentic West Coast cruising featuring two working vessels.  Stay two nights in Port Alberni, a friendly small town surrounded by mountains and known for its abundance of outdoor activities. The MV Frances Barkley is a 65 year old heritage ship originating in Norway.  Sail along the majestic Alberni Inlet to historic Bamfield with amazing views of aquatic wildlife, remote communities, and fresh salt air. The MV Uchuck departs from Gold River, where you will stay two nights, and will take you through beautiful Nootka Sound to Friendly Cove (Yuquot). Stops are made along the routes to offload freight at remote fish farms, logging camps, resorts and maritime villages that rely on the MV Uchuck as a lifeline.  Passengers enjoy watching the day-to-day activities, from manoeuvring the vessel to remote docks and offloading freight from the cargo hold to watching intrepid kayakers paddle off after wet launching.   Other tour highlights include the awe inspiring Cathedral Grove and wine tasting.
